The San Juan Unified School District (SJUD) is a very large, and have high expectations for many of their students. The community of students, staff, and representatives are very friendly and very opened about academic suggestions and opinions. Including the different minorities and cultures are very important, and is something that has always been apart of a simple tradition. The strong school spirited students and familiarity of everyone are just another way of friendliness.
The district does have some things they could fix, either it could be about looking at statewide disasters or being more aware of social issues that bother some students and affect the environment of learning. There should be actual phycologist and therapist on campuses to help those students to talk about stress and things that bother them. This can have an effect on the students to relieve stress and anxiety, which will help them to learn better and focuse on oter things in school/life. What I enjoyed most about this school district is that it offered diversity amongst all students and everyone has equal opportunity as far as education. But as far as how schools operate and function in terms of superiority, I would say that it seemed as if some schools in my district had better leaders more so than others. This is something that I believe can be improved upon as far as the district actually going through a different process in how they hire teachers as I have come to know that at times, substitute teachers end up being teachers for an entire academic year which really isn't fair to there students who expected teacher maybe with more experience. Overall though has far as education, I would say that asa whole, the district did a good job of keeping schools unified and together as they held banquets in which programs from different schools would attend.
